Naman completed his schooling at Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School, Mumbai. After that, he decided to pursue a BCom from SIES college of arts, science, and commerce, Mumbai.
His father’s name is Late Sandeep Mathur and his mother’s name is Kavita Mathur. He lost his father when he was only 4 years old, after his father’s death his family faced many financial problems.
And to fulfill their financial expenses his mother started a tiffin service. His brother name is Abhinav Mathur mainly known as DJ SOLO is a musician and a DJ.

He is a full-time Youtube streamer. His Youtube channel name is Mortal and He has over a 7.4million subscribers and more than 1.15 Billion views on his Youtube channel. He started his youtube channel on September 24, 2013, at that time he used to upload gameplays of MiniMitia.
The first video on his channel was uploaded on September 15, 2016. He used to live stream mini militia daily but failed to get views and subscribers.

Naman was approached for a business deal by Animesh Agrawal popularly known as 8Bit Thug who is an online gamer and a businessman. According to Nanam Animesh is like a brother to him and he is one of the people behind his success.
Animesh helped Naman to play as a competitive player in the PUBG tournaments and later on, they formed a team named SOUL with three other players named Soul Viper, Soul Ronak, and Soul Owais. Under the captaincy of Mortal (Naman Mathur), team soul won the PMCO Indian Regionals Match 2019, and qualified for the finals of the PUBG Mobile Club Open Fall split 2019.
They finish in the second position in that tournament and became the top scoring team in South Asia.
But after Team Soul’s defeat in the International PMCO 2019, Soul Ronak and Owais blamed Naman for their loss and decided to leave the clan due to their internal dispute and joined a different team named Orange Rock (OR).
After that Naman decided to focus on live streaming and took a break from competitive tournaments. Meanwhile, two new players alongside Soul Viper joined Team soul (Soul Regaltos and Clutchgod). Naman”s team again started performing well in the tournaments.
Mortal mentioned in his community post that he is struggling to manage esports tournaments and live streaming at the same time and decided to step down as a competitive player.
