Concerns are raised by FWICE regarding Chhello Show's nomination for an Oscar

The Gujarati film Chhello Show has officially been named as India's official entry for the Oscars in 2023

After making the decision to nominate Chhello Show as India's official entry for the Oscars in 2023, the Film Federation of India (FFI) faced a great deal of criticism

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees has since voiced a number of objections to the movie's Oscar nomination.

In response to one of the criticisms leveled at his film, director Pan Nalin has also commented.

In a formal declaration, FWICE expressed several objections to the Oscar nomination of Chhello Show or Last Show in English

The statement said, in part, "This year's nomination of the movie "Chhello Show" as India's official entry to the 95th Academy Award is not in accordance with the usual criteria

"While we have nothing against the film's creators or producers, the genuine winners of this prize cannot be forced to make a difficult decision" FWICE added
